About Us

OPEX Performance was started by Peter Culbert (it’s Managing Director), in response to a need in the market for authentic and competent operational experience and expertise, so that the various tiers of Operational End-Users (no matter the industry), could be assisted with the appropriate level of support.

This support comes in many forms and vectors which allow for a deep dive in to the nature of the performance history at a site or organisation, and allowing for the true potential of the End-User’s asset to be realised, from a performance excellence optic.

Our Story

Mr. Culbert has spent over 20 years working across various industries such as the Electrical, Pharmaceutical, Medical device, Oil & Gas, etc., learning what performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPI’s) and expectational targets were within each industrial operational domain, along with successfully identifying the performance shaping factors (PSF’s), so as to achieve optimum performance levels.

In his more recent years, Mr. Culbert was the Certification Manager, Operations Manager, and Senior Technical Lead for a leading Certification company’s European operation.

Having played a key start up role in delivering accreditation status for the European Certification Body (delivering not just Certification Body status, but Notifying Body status aswell), Peter spent most of his time supporting customer’s compliance to various regulatory engineering standards, covering key subject matter areas such as Cybersecurity in the OT sector (Operational Technology, etc.), Functional Safety in various discipline sectors (Process safety, Machine safety, etc.), Competency verification, along with providing key engineering support to tier one clients where needed across the above and other subject matter domain specialisms. He was a Senior Certifying and Evaluating Assessor within the certification team whilst supporting and delivering both European and Global projects.

The above experience coupled with Mr. Culbert’s unique exposure to various industry backgrounds and roles, along with his unique exposure to both high performance and operational responsibility within each background, allows him to support whichever performance target the site or organisation has set out to achieve.

His passion for the customer and for supporting the ‘’one team-one vision’’ mantra, is well known throughout industry, along with his passion for high performance/continuous improvement.
